Husband refuses to buy toys for christmas for our 2 year old?
My husband thinks our 2 year old daughter has enough toys and he refuses to buy her toys for christmas. Instead he's come up with ridiculous ideas like buying a world map and hanging it on her ceiling and paying for a star to be named after her. I told him I think those things will be neat gifts when she's older but now she enjoys toys. He calls it all plastic junk from China and he tells me I'm a sheep because I have fallen for the corporate idea of christmas. He's a scrooge and it really brings me down. what should I do??To those of you who have bought stars, I'm sorry but that's a much bigger waste than a plastic toy. What's to stop me from pointing to the sky and saying " there, honey, that's your star" without paying a dime for it? Hell you can even make up a certificate of ownership on the computer and they'd never know, but paying money for one? That's a total scam.

I got a toy for Christmas from my boyfriend and I bought him a $45 figaro necklace. Is that dumb or what?
I gave my boyfriend an Italian figaro nacklace for Christmas. He got me a tiny guitar from Mexico. I thought it was cute but it was waaay below my expectations. He was asking what kind of jewelry I liked and I like silver not gold. When he gave me the gift, he said there wasn't any silver jewelry in the stores he went to. He never got me anything for our 6 month anniversary either. He always complains that he doesn't have money and he wants to buy me nice things but can't. But he told me that he gets $20 a week. My mom laughed at the guitar. She says I should take the necklace back and buy me something with it, but I don't want to do that because he likes it and I like that he likes it. So what exactly do I do? Do I tell him? Do I have the right to be sad that he didn't give me something meaningful?

Our Vote is Queetles. A new comfort talkback critter for kids. This is such a cute stuff toy. They are not for sale, just yet, we have to wait until Oct 1st. But I am telling all of my friends about this wonderful toy, as well as their mission to visit children's hospitals all over the country, and handing out free queetles, to all of the patients.
