Christmas – A Celebration commemorating the Birth of CHRIST.

The 1st Christmas was the day when God became flesh and dwelt physically amongst men – God proclaimed His goodwill towards men.

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23

Question: My boyfriend and i have known eachother for 3 years and he wants me to spend christmas with his family?

The problem is not the spending time with them i've met a few of them before, the problem is they live in south america and i'd be in a foreign place and that kinda makes me feel uncomfortable. i'd be meeting his mom for the first time and his grandmother etc... it would just be me, i'd feel like i'm on uneven ground especially since everyone has those will they like me fears. what do u think am i worrying about nothing?

Depends on how serious you are about him. When you love someone and plan on having a future with them, sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone and do things for that person if it makes them happy. It's called a sacrifice. Look at it as a fun opportunity to experience new things. My ex's family was from Peru. I wanted a future with him but he never took me serious enough to take me with him when he would visit his family and this was kinda messed up for me. Your bf obviously wants you in his life, so I think you should go for it and enjoy yourself. You will see new and beautiful things. There will come a day when your bf will also be put in situation that he may not like, but you will want him to be there for you right? You are in it together, so be there for him.

Well if you have been together for that long, obviously you are in it for the long run. Plus he must really like you if he wants you to fly that far just to meet his family. This is a big step for a relationship, but if you want to spend the rest of your life with him I think that step is worth taking. Also if he loves and cares about you, I'm sure his family will as well. Plus going to South America would be an awesome experience and what better person to go with than a native?
